I love this series. I'm reading the whole series from book #1-24
This is volume XVI of a series in "wagons west" It's number 16 in this series. I have almost all of the books of this series. And, when you read them all, you feel like you know the characters. They are for great reading; if you like westerns.
Back cover: Visions of endless horizons brought them from the four corners of the earth to the deepwater port where the muddy Mississippi approached the Gulf's blue waters. Some came to earn their fortune by honest sweat; others came to make their gold with vice and crime, but all would be captured by the Creole beauties and soft rhythms of love in old New Orleans...a place of desire, dreams, and dangers spawned by irresistible women, easy money, and ruthless ambition. Louisiana! A volatile mix of Cajun and Creole, exotic and tame, good and evil walked the waterfront and the wild side. Her legitimate cargo hid the illegal trade in opium, weapons, and shanghaied men. Here the diabolical domain of a mysterious Chinese Tong would sweep legendary fighting man Toby Holt--intrepid son of Wagonmaster Whip Holt--into a struggle with a sensual woman more deadly than any man. And while an unusual underworld ally waged a vendetta against a lawman gone bad, another brave Holt--hot-blooded young Cindy--proved her marksmanship and courage as she pulled the trigger in an explosive adventure on the untamed frontier...as the crossroads of a nation met where America's melting pot became the cauldron brewing a young country's destiny--Louisiana!
