Sweet story. Fast read. I imagine if you're someone who really enjoys cooking then you might enjoy all the endless cooking details, but for someone who isn't into cooking (like me!) it did get a bit tedious at times. The characters were well developed and interesting and while it was easy to predict the outcome, I was curious to see what would become of each one. I especially enjoyed the snipets from Holly's grandmother's diary which gave a great insight into the history of this little town and its people.
On a side note- the editing in this book was AWFUL! Spelling mistakes ("Holy" instead of "Holly") characters being referred to by the wrong name, and several typos ("be" instead of "he") Ms. Senate should fire her editor before her next book!

I'll admit right off that I am not a lover of romance novels. I do, however, enjoy cooking and interesting recipes. I found the story to be predictable, sappy, and overly-dependent on stereotypes. I did enjoy the descriptions of the Italian food that was purchased and prepared throughout the book and I plan to try the recipes at the end of it (I'll copy them so as not to hold up the availability of the book). If you enjoy romance novels and Italian food, you'll love this book!
