After ending a long-term relationship, Liz Kowalski has decided to move back to her hometown and make a fresh start. But a fresh start didn't include taking up with Police Chief Drew Miller after their one-night-stand at her brother's wedding. Drew had always wanted a family and was looking for a woman who would give him children. He knows Liz isn't interested in a quick marriage and family, but Drew hasn't been able to get her out of his mind since their liaison. There is also the problem of Liz being his best friend's sister. As Drew and Liz try to stay clear of each other, they are constantly thrown together by family and friends. When both of them attend the annual Kowalski camping trip, keeping their hands off of each other keeps getting harder and harder.
This is another winner in Shannon Stacey's Kowaksi Family series. Both Liz and Drew have made appearances in previous books. I was looking forward to their book and it didn't disappoint. I loved that Drew was nervous about his best friend, Mitch, finding out about his relationship with Liz. He worried that Liz wasn't invested in the relationship and he would be giving up his best friend for nothing.
It was great seeing the whole extended Kowalski family at the camping trip. I loved their competitions, especially the water ball of doom. My rating: 4.5 Stars.
