Ilene Beckerman’s runaway bestseller articulates something all women know: that our memories are often tied to our favorite clothes. From her Brownie uniform to her Pucci knockoff to her black strapless Rita Haworth–style dress from the Neiman Marcus outlet store, Ilene Beckerman tells us the story of her life.« less
A "memoir" style book where the author describes the clothes she wore at different points in her life. I enjoyed the pictures more than the story, which I found rather depressing.
The premise of this book is that memories of women's lives are intertwined with the clothes they wore on those occasions. The New York Times Book Review called it "a small gem of a book."
