A "memoir" style book where the author describes the clothes she wore at different points in her life. I enjoyed the pictures more than the story, which I found rather depressing.

Really cute book. For your info, the hardcover is not much bigger than a paperback and the illustrations are really great!
Easy, quick read. Pretty interesting especially if you like fashion. Gives a personalized look on fashion in the 1900's.
The premise of this book is that memories of women's lives are intertwined with the clothes they wore on those occasions. The New York Times Book Review called it "a small gem of a book."
This little book is great! The drawings of the clothes reminded me so much of my own wardrobe during the past 5 decades.
I can't believe I paid the price of a postage stamp for this book.
