I really enjoyed this book. It's a Western Romance and the characters are so different than anything I've ever read about. The woman works to grind flour - alone since her father took off hunting quite some time ago. The main man is a railroad agent - a job that you don't read about often. I like how we got to know the characters and how they learned about each other. Of course there is some trouble that she gets into - not her fault - but does he get there to rescue her in time?

I'm with Kathleen, I really enjoyed this book. I don't usually read western historicals (except Sarah McCarty) but I'm glad I read this one! What I liked about the book: the chemistry between the h/h; the hero was a tough alpha male but not an overbearing jerk; the heroine was spunky and independent without being a harpy; there was a nice degree of steam, some danger, and a nice HEA ending. What's not to like? Well, the book could have been a bit longer (it's just over 200 pages, but the print is pretty large), but thankfully it never felt rushed or lacking. I just liked the characters so much that I wasn't ready to say goodbye! Also, I wish the author would write follow-up books about the hero's fellow agents/friends: Warren and Jed. That's it - otherwise I loved this book!

This book was ok... I liked that there was actually some emotional development, and that it was more tastefully done than some erotic romances. I didn't like the whole part with the "villains", but overall the plot was ok, if a little slow. I liked the hero, though.
