This book contains poetry written by women from various parts of the world. The poems are grouped into six headings such as: 'Your name on my tongue' and 'This then is love' and even the more intriguing "Go home and put my man out!' Poets include Dorothy Parker, Canadian author and poet Margaret Atwood and Sara Teasdale. The entire spectrum of emotion seems to be contained between the covers of this book.

I bought this during my poetry phase of college - no longer of interest to me. It does contain some great poets - Emily Dickenson, Maya Angelou, Emily Bronte to name a few
