"LOVERS begins in the glowingly optimistic year of 1983 as Gigi Orsini, aching for adventure, begins her first day on the job as a copywriter at the advertising agency of Frost/Rourke/Bernheim in Los Angeles. During the following year she will encounter enough professional challenges and passionate entanglements to keep even Gigi - that high-spirited, ingenious, red-headed enchantress who grew to womanhood in SCRUPLES TWO - on a roller coaster ride that swoops from thrilling personal achievement to new levels of sexual tension and a web of unexpected romance.
LOVERS is a distillation of purest Krantz, richly detailed, intricate in plot, and bursting with captivating characters, many of them new to her readers, others favorites from SCRUPLES and SCRUPLES TWO. Together they form a group of a half-dozen couples engaged in an intoxicating, interwoven dance of love: love abruptly appearing with blazing potency, love incredulously lost, love stolen, love betrayed and love gloriously recaptured. Throughout this dance Gigi moves adroitly, threatened by jealousy and attempts to dominate her."

Another great Krantz book. I enjoyed reading it!
Entertaining, light reading.
Judith Krantz does it yet again. The underdog becomes top dog, gets stabbed in the back and makes good for all their loved ones. Easy reading from start to finish. All characters are fully developed. Romance and mystery.
I thought the book was a little to explicit for me. I enjoyed the characters and the wonderful detail that Judith Krantz puts in her novels. She discribes Italy, and France so well you think you are there.
As always, a great book by Judith Krantz! Even though it was written quite a few years ago, it still was a great read!
An enthralling read.
Few American women are as ripe for adventure as Gigi Orsini in the booming, optimistic year of 1983. In her mid-twenties, Gigi is an original: as amusingly naughty as she is romantic, as personally courageous as she is sexually alluring.
A talented copywriter, Gigi has just accepted a job at a Los Angeles advertising agency where is is teamed with a tenderly seductive art director. The three owners of the agency include two ambitious bachelors and one powerful woman whose irrational hatred for Gigi turns her into a powerful adversary. Gigi's life veers in a new direction as she finds herself in a world of diabolic demands and enormous challenges. Never have the passionate practitioners of the business of advertising been unmasked so nakedly, as Gigi is drawn into a whirlwind of desire, betrayal-and perilous love.

Not too bad for a romance - I don't usually read romances, but I find them enjoyable to listen to while I'm working.
Great story
I didn't finish this book...I found I just didn't care what happened to the characters.
