I love all of the "Love Comes Softly" series, but the story of Missie and Willie has to be my favorite of all! I absolutely LOVE Missie and Willie both, everything about them.

As the second installment in the Love Comes Softly series, this book continues to follow the lives of Clark and Marty Davis. Both placed in a marriage of convenience and slowly developing a deep love and bond. They take in two girls from another family after their father sells them for $10 a piece.
The book spans more than a decade, and the birth of more children by Marty! Like the first, this one is separated by titled chapters. Each chapter header gives a very clear description of the contents.
There are many very engaging secondary characters. It's very easy to get caught up in their joys and sorrows. There are touches of faith and the Lord, but it isn't overdone. The story leaves the reader with hope for a third book! I recommend this book as much as the first!
I've seen the first 3 movies, and still, the book moved me! I recommend, however, always reading the book before you watch the movie.
