This is the kind of page-turner that will keep you guessing until the end. Suspenseful, engaging, and a book you won't want to put down!
The book I read by Mary Higgins Clark and from this book on I was hooked onto everything she won't.
One of my favorites by Clark.
races to a swift and chilling climax, full of characters, a killer enacts a bizarre dance of death, using the personal ads to lure his victims.
Mary Higgins Clark at her finest.
There is a killer out there and he is using the personals to lure his victims. Who will be his next victim, great characters, easy to put self into story. A great page turner, wont want to put down til the case is solved
Great book, as all of MHC's books! A real page turner!
If you like thrillers involving really sick ladykillers, you'll enjoy this thoroughly. A little more graphic in places than I'd come to expect from Mary Higgens Clark, so be warned if your too sensitive.
A page turner full of suspense, characters like people we know in situations that are gripping.
Typical Clark! Tight writing, real page turner!
great book!
Great story and edge of your seat action! I've read this book several times.
Another great thriller by Ms Clark.
If you like suspense this is the book for you. It will keep you on the edge of your seat.
Cover art varies...
Great book, especially for summer reading at the beach. Couldn't put it down.
What can I say? It's Mary Higgins Clark!
I am becoming a real fan of Mary Higgins Clark! This book kept my interest and i found myself staying up much too late to finish it. The many characters are well developed and the plot is quite plausible. Definitely a good read.
Good story - unexpected twists!
Really like all MHC books. This is no disapointment.
this is one of my favorites..a dancing shoe murderer will keep you hooked till the very end.
full of suspense
Darcy Scott and Erin Kelley, best friends since college, decide to help Nona Roberts with her research for a television documentary dealing with the types of people who place and answer personal ads. It starts out as a lark, but it turns to tragedy as Erin is found murdered after one of her dates. When her body is discovered, there is a clue that connects her death to those of seven other women in the New York area. In an attempt to find her friend's murderer, Darcy sets out to date the men Erin met through the personals. One of them could be the killer--but which one? Clark weaves a terrifying tale of life in the '90s that is sure to draw YAs into its web of suspense. Engrossing, even for reluctant readers.
This book is not one of my favorites by MHC. I prefer to read a mystery from a detective viewpoint not one by the actual evil minded killer. Frances G.
Another good clark book.
Quick reading. Good book. enjoyed it.
Enjoyed this MHC book. It is one of her older books and I found that this one really flowed very well till the very end of the story....
Mary Higgins Clark is truly captivating with this novel about the twisted mind of a serial killer - but who is it?! As always, Clark keeps you guessing until the bitter (?) end! I loved every second of it - and have since read it about ten more times! Mary Higgins Clark truly is the Queen of Suspense!

This may be my favorite novel by Mary H-C. Haven't we all wondered about the personal ads, who answers them, and what would it be like to go on a blind date? Two sisters find out the hard way in this fast-moving mystery. The who-done-it is a big shock and I always enjoy how the author writes in a strong woman in the herione's role. She gets her man, but not as you'd expect from the personals ; )

Thoroughly engaging.
If you like Mary Higgins Clark, you will love this one. True to form.

After college, best friends Erin Kelley and Darcy Scott move to the city to pursue exciting careers; Erin is a promising jewelry designer, Darcy finds success as a decorator. Ona lark, Darcy persuades Erin to help their TV producer friend research the kinds of people who place personal ads. It seems like innocent fun...until Erin disappears.
Erin's body is foun on an abandoned Manhattan pier - on one foot is her own shoe, on the other, a high-helled dancing slipper. Soon after startling communiques from the killer reveal that Erin is not the first victim of this "dancing shoe murderer". And if the killer has his way, she won't be his last. Next on his death list is Darcy.

Suspenceful
one of my favorite reads
Ho hum. This was an okay book, definitely nothing special. It's easy to figure the killer early in the story, so you're just reading to see how it ends.

Typical MHC. Keeps you guessing and keeps you wanting to continue until you're done with the book.
A killer picks his victims from the personals.
This is one of my favorite Mary Higgins Clark books!
I wasn't really impressed all that much by this book. Better than some, but.....
This is a wonderful thriller by Mary Higgins Clark. I just finished reading this book and you will not be able to put it down. Basically it's about a killer who is luring young women in by using personal ads.
Been a long time since I have read this, but it was very good and held my intrest so that I couldnt put it down till it was done! I have a huge collection of MHC that I am listing, so if your a fan, check to see if I have any you may want to read.

Good suspense story. The cover is different than shown, but ISBN is the same.
Two recent college graduates move to the city to pursue careers. They take on a project to research the kinds of people who place personal ads. All fun until one of them disappears...
True Mary Higgins Clark storyline.

A killer is using the personal ads to lure his victims. Erin Kelley and Darcy Scott help their TV producer friend research the kinds of people who place personal ads but Erin soon disappears. This is a well written story which is told by the murderer's perspective. The suspense keeps the pages turning and the plot keeps you guessing until the very surprising twist at the end. I enjoy Mary Higgins Clark's books and I read this one for my Century of Mystery reads as it was published in 1991. I look forward to reading another Clark book and would recommend this one to those who love mystery.
This is a great book. Mary Higgins Clark always keeps the reader ont he edge of their seat, right up to the end.
