The last six years have been earth-shaking for Morgan MacKeage. Being wrenched out of his century and dumped into the future is nothing to take lightly. Father Daar, the Druid wizard who accidentally transported the MacKeage clan into the future, lost his powerful magical staff in a remote pond. Ever since, Morgan's noticed a strange pattern among the trees and animals. Morgan and Daar realize that a dark influence is trying to take hold in the wilderness.
Mercedes "Sadie" Quill is intent on building a legacy for her late father and sister. Asked to put together a proposal for a wilderness park, she's been carefully hiking and marking the proposed territory. Knowing that he must protect the secrets of this area, Morgan is not about to let a wilderness park be built near Daar's magic-laden pond.

Okay, not as good as the first in the series. First part of the book was funny when they first meet and their first date. Still, though, I like this Pine Creek reverse time traveler series - it's different.

Janet Chapman is a modern day Wizard herself. Time travel, magic, alpha males, with accents ( to us Americans ) and old world ways and ideas but somehow more aware of a modern woman's needs than a modern man. Throw in the occasional villain or mystical creature. Romance, hot steamy sex.. And you have the Pine Creek Highlander series.
The only thing wrong with these books is the highlanders get old to fast and the books are to few... I have never devoured a series so fast.

A very good romance
When Sadie Quill comes upon an unbelievably gorgeous man lying naked beside a lake, she can't resist taking his photo... Morgan MacKeage quickly traps this beauty who dares take his picture. Sadie is searching for a legendary gold mine in that area and he is determined that the pure beauty of his mountains not be spoiled. He is a medieval highlander brought through time to modern day Maine and has a love for untamed wilderness. Can they find love? Read it and find out. There are several books in this series, starting with Charming the Highlander. Wedding the Highlander, Tempting the Highlander, and Only with a Highlander are also recommended and are very good.
