I wasn't sure what I would think of this book at first. I love Aruba, and do plan on visiting there periodically. I find the Aruban people to be so nice, and friendly. This book showed a different side of Aruba than what I saw.
I feel for Beth Holloway. I agree that no parent should have to go through what she and ex husband Dave had to. Her book is full of detail, and hope. I would definitely recommend this book. Beth notes that her daughter did make some mistakes, and poor choices the night she went missing, but again that does not validate or justify what happened to Natalee. Hopefully by people reading this book, some answers may be forthcoming as this still puts it up front for people to be aware of. I respect Beth Holloway for what she has accomplished.

I watched the heartbreak of this family through the endless media coverage of this case. Having two daughters of my own, I felt incredible sadness reading Beth Holloway's story of losing her daughter, and now knowing what happened to her.

Pretty good account of the Natalee story.
Alittle boring, though.
sad, no happy ending.

very good book and every teen or girl leaving the country should read it! really it is a must read for anyone leaving the country to realize that America is so different from other countries. We have rights here and crimes are investigated. Once you leave American soil, you are basically on your own.

I enjoyed this book. sad they never found her body so the family could move on.
I absolutely loved this book. It's so sad that Natalee still wasn't found til this day. But glad that so many people were willing to reach out and help however they could.
