In this book -weird stuff- continues to happen to the Grace children, such as Jared finding his clothes turned inside out. The Grace children visit their great-aunt Lucinda Spiderwick so that they can ask her several questions about the Guide. During their visit, they tell their great-aunt of all the strange things that have been happening and they meet her sweet little faerie friends. After their visit, the Grace children bring some marbles home to Thimbletack as a gift from Aunt Lucinda. They find more riddles, meet a Phooka, several Faerie elves, a unicorn, and learn about the evil Mulgarath. The Faerie elves want the Guide and decide to hold Simon hostage until they get it, but Jared tricks them. What will happen to the Grace children next?

This is another fun book in the series that I think is a fun, quick read no matter what your age is. The kid in me always loves a book that has delightful drawings in it like this one does.

My son (now age 10) and his cousin (a girl, now age 13) both enjoyed these books quite a bit during the past couple of years.

My son and I love reading this series together! The small chapters are great for early readers, though there are many difficult words for him. I consider to be on a higher reading level because of this. It is beautifully illustrated, and a delightful story that we wish could be longer!
