Jet lagged from her trip to Macau, Lucky rolls into a new murder at the rodeo as she's getting back to Vegas. Dead bodies, a possible family connection, and her mother acting peculiar are just the start as Lucky and Romeo dive in head first to the unfamiliar rodeo circuit. Topping things off, Jean Charles is still pressuring Lucky to set a wedding date, Teddie wants to rekindle their lost friendship, and Dane is still begging for forgiveness. Lack of sleep and ugly past revelations keep Lucky on her toes as she and Romeo try to catch a murderer from continuing their spree.
