Laura and Richard Fleming travel from their home in Boston to North Carolina at the request of Laura's cousin, Vasti, so Richard can direct a performance of The Christmas Carol. But then the man playing Scrooge is murdered, and Laura (or Laurie Ann, as she's known in her hometown)starts asking questions. This time she has the help of Junior, the police chief, who's on vacation and has to let her deputy take over the official investigation. A good read.

This was a good read because it has the right blend of mystery, surprises, and humor. The only "negative" thing about this book was that there were either too many characters, or the author didn't paint a clear picture of each one...when someone was mentioned, I had to keep going back and figuring out exactly who was being talked about.

Cute murder story. This is a x-mas/winter season story and was a fun fast murder with some twists and turns and Ms Kelner's good sense of humor. Winter season based stories are so cozy and left me feeling good and wanting another fun read right away.
An enjoyable read! I will definately not turn down a chance to read more from this author!
Christmas approaches and Laura Fleming wants to spend a quite time with her husband, but her cousin calls and wants Richard to direct a play. They go and things start happening.
