Hardcover gift copy. I love the illustrations in this book, as well as, the story. Great for ages 4 and up. My daughter really enjoys the Madeline books. Plot: One day the Spanish Ambassador Moved next door. He had a very, Very bad boy who did everything that he could think of to be mean to the girls in Madeline's house. One day he was attacked by wild dogs.Miss Clavel ran to the bad boys rescue. Miss Clavel took the boy home and was thanked by his parents.The little girls were allowed to visit, one at a time beginning with Madeline. The very bad boy learned by the girls example and Miss Clavel's kindness to be good.
