I LOVED this book. It was fascinating, engrossing, and uplifting because the author made me care about the characters. Even though I cried several times I was happy with the ending. This book is unforgettable!!!

This was an excellent book that kept me hooked from the beginning. It certainly kept my attention throughout and I had a hard time putting it down. There's a great deal of heart and spirit in the book.

The characters are brilliant, engaging and beautifully written. All in all, their development and the plot were excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed the sharing of what was going through the child's mind, even more would have been great. It was a very touching novel and, for me, hit a variety of different emotions. I will read more from Kristin Hannah.

Dr Julia Cates, a child psychiatrist, is shattered by the loss of a teenage patient and the scandal the follows. Doubting herself, she retreats to her quiet and slow-paced hometown in Northwest Washington to find her self. Nothing happens in Rain Valley, until one day a young girl suddenly appears from the deep woods and is found hiding in a tree with a baby wolf in her arms.

She soon becomes known as a "wild child," because she is fearful and is unable to speak. There is a psychological edge to Magic Hour that engages the reader in the wonder of how this fragile child will heal. And, as always, there is an unexpected twist. Once I picked up the novel, I couldn't put it down and didn't want it to end. An outstanding read.

I have loved everything I have ever read by Kristin Hannah but this one was, by far, my favorite one yet! A wonderful story about a little girl who wanders out of the woods and the child psychiatrist who helps bring her out of her shell. LOVED this one and hated for it to end!

A mysterious child who cannot or will not speak has turned up in the center of town, high in a tree and clutching a wolf cub to her chest. She is a very rare case, a feral child, raised in the wild by wolves and no one knows what to do or how to find her family. Julie Cates is a child psychiatrist works to bring her into a civilized world.
The author pulls you into Alice and Julie's struggles from the beginning and it is one of the most heart wrenching and powerful books that I have read. You become emotional tied to the character and feel their triumphs as well as thier failures and setbacks.

Absolutely wonderful story. This cd set has 6 cd's. Story of young girl who grew up in the wild and came to city because of hunger. She has no skills. She acts like a wild animal. This story is told in wonderful voice's and is funny, serious and suspensefull. I started listening to it in the car on the way to and from work and then had to take in the house because i couldn't wait to hear what was going to happen until the next ride. I loved this story.
