Very interesting read for the Harry Potter lover. It is probably for older teens and above. This covers more material about mythology and history than fun little potter facts. It goes into human history and where J.K. Rowling may have received many of her ideas. More of an information book. Cool to add to any Harry Potter collection though!

Not quite the typical Harry Potter style book, but it was nice in that it gave a little background of where Ms Rowling got her ideas. She really did a lot of research and I commend her!

This is a really good book for people who haven't read much mythology or fantasy literature. It did point out a few connections that I hadn't already figured out, but for the most part was pretty elementary. I would highly suggest it for a 6th or 7th grader who is interested in the Harry Potter books.

It's a pretty good book, but it was written when only four Harry Potter books were out, so it's not exactly up to date.

Pretty lame when compared to some of the HP analysis books. More fun than informative - and in all honesty - pretty low on the fun factor! Pass on this one and grab one of the New Clues books instead!

Being a huge Harry Potter fan everything I read about him is great !! There was plenty of research done to make interesting reading. Great to learn more about the many strange animals, etc. that make up the stories. As a whole, the book was very well presented and easily understood.
