This was a good read, kind of a historical spy/thriller novel with magic thrown in.
Rather confusing- a lot of characters all want the same thing but all for different reasons. A lot of dialog, not so much action.
I like Wrede's stories. She is funny, descriptive, weaves a fine plot, and knows people pretty well.
Fun, enjoyable book. Would make a very funny movie. Sometimes hard to keep track of all the minor characters (especially when they're all in the same room).
Magic and regency england a great mix!!! Love Wrede!!
There's magic in the streets of London,
there's sorcery in the vilalge lanes;
there's a plot that has all of society talking
in an England that never was,
but should have been...
