When I think of rustic I think of making chairs, tables. trellis' etc. out of tree branches, nails and twine. There are some interesting projects in this book for up-cycling pieces of furniture. including using parts of trees, paint and so forth. But I'm not sure if the authors of this book were totally clear on the term rustic and folk art.
