This book was great fun. I had a hard time getting into the flow of it, but once I got to know the characters, it flowed quite well. I love historical books that bring lots of real history of a place alive.
"Camping" at Lake Manawa for the summer, Marguerite discovers that she must sacrifice her future happiness for the sake of her family. Romance and mystery rolled together to make this an enjoyable read that also reminds readers about the importance of truthfulness and trusting God.
This was a precious book! The heroine Marguerite is desperate to learn to sail and arranges for handsome Tripp Andrews to give lessons to her little brother, under her supervision. Oh, how she loves sailing and also falls hard for the instructor. She has a few problems to overcome - a horrible fiancé and a father who has gambled away the family fortune! This is a well written and exciting story, with events including a regatta and a huge fireworks display. The characters were great. I highly recommend this book!
