A well paced book that had mystery and romance all rolled into one...

An agoraphobic computer whiz charged with conspiring with an enemy of the nation to take over the world. Reunited reluctantly with her family who she thought abandoned her. Rather forcefully yanked out of her withdrawal to help find the enemy. Rather overpowered by graphic sex.

I have to admit that I put this book down after reading the first few chapters, but I went back to it and am glad that I did. While not the most engaging read it was a enjoyable story. Enjoyed how the guy helps out the girl not just 'rescuing her' but inspires a strength in her to rescue herself, which is not seen that often in HQN books.

This book is very very humorous, and I enjoyed it immenseley! Here's what the back of the book says in chatroom format...
AveryIsIn: hi HJFan-you'll never guess what happened. Supposedly I'm a dangerous cybercriminal and he feds have come knocking down my door. They think I'm in contact with some supervillian-but I never leave the house, and you're the only one I talk to. Lv it to the govt, huh? LOL
DixonOPUS: Avery Nesbitt made e-mail contact with target today. Although suspect seems unaware of target's true identity, I can't be sure she's not uninvolved. My next move: get inside. Time to rattle Ms. Nesbitt's perfect online world.
Don't let the description fool you, this book is very good, and highly entertaining!!

This was very funny. Gotta love a female computer nerd who doesn't leave her home because she's agoraphobic. When she's forced to leave for her own protection, its hilarious. Funny, sexy, romantic, hip.
A contemporary inter-net romance with quirky, funny romantic characters.
Computer genius Avery Nesbitt finds her skills are needed by the feds to capture a criminal mastermind, but as she works closely with a federal agent, the lines between colleague and romantic interest become blurred. Original.
A CONTEMPORARY SPY/ROMANCE BOOK. THIS BOOK, PUBLISHED IN 2005 IS A LOT OF FUN TO READ-AND I FOUND THE LOVE STORY VERY TOUCHING. I JUST ORDERED THE SECOND BOOK IN THIS SERIES.
An internet relationship gone crazy. Steamy and yet quirky and funny.
Avery falls in love via internet with Andrew, but then things get crazy and she wonders if he even exists, or is he part of some nefarious plan cooked up by a psycho named Adrian who wants to take over the world?

This book was a good read, fun and quick
Very good romance
She's a computer geek under suspicion from the Feds and now she has to help track down a bad guy. He's the fed who's duty it is to watch her -- not such a tough job. A good fun read.
ok book, seemed like it followed more on what th characters were thinking then dialect.
This was a surprisingly quick (and good) read. At first I didn't think I could get interested in a NY shutin who's also a first class techie but it worked! I couldn't put the book down until I had finishd it.
suprising and fun and entertainging read
Funny fast read.
I like my romance reading to take me away to a happy place if it's a contemporary or an exciting place if it's suspense. This book just left me feeling sad. I was sad that Avery was so estranged from her family, sad that she couldn't seem to find treatment for her agoraphobia, and sad that she was so tricked online. The characters were likable but I had to force myself to finish this one. The one sex sense was more intenese that I expected from Harlequin.
It was quirky and funny and a good read.
A thoroughly enjoyable read. Very well written, humorous along with enough plot and interesting characters to make it a book you won't want to put down. I'm looking forward to reading the sequel, "Express Male".
One of a series of books about OPUS, "Office of Political Unity and Security". A group who work for homeland security. The book is quirky, funny, and has witty romance.
Funny--good read, recommend for those that just wanna good book without alot of indepth thinking :o)

Great contemporary love story!
First book I have read by this author. I will definitely be reading more.
Anther book in the OPUS Series. Very interesting, cannot wait for to read the next book in the series.
This one is funny with some twists and turns you least expect. I feel sympathy for Avery and am so glad the hero is truly a hero and understands her "wackyness".
Really good book, great love story ,and some steamy romance. Great for us Cyber nerds!
It is a good book. the things that people can do with a computer. A girl that is goraphobic, creates a virus to ruin her boyfriends hard drive but ends up doing more damage to herself.
I loved this book! I will look for the rest in the series.
Excellent Book
Real, honest to goodness chick lit with a bit of spy thrown in! A new mix for me, and I've already ordered the follow up book..."Express Male".
very good
This is he first book i have read by her but it will not be the last.
This was a cute romp for Jo Bevarly.
Very good book!
Romance/suspense about a female computer genius that meets someone on line that she feels understands her & all her phobias. He is not what he seems to be & she is devestated when she discovers this. Because of her on-line romance contact she becomes a focus for the highly secret OPUS organization, which leads to an adventure she did not expect.
Although the author can write, this story has a half dozen plot holes that weaken the book. A character hiding for her safety should not be forced to go to parties by those charged with keeping her safe, for example. Also, sometimes the author gives in to unfortunate impulse in regards to what I am sure is supposed to be a colorful phrase. The most unfortunate aspect is the political one, since the thinly disguised homeland security agency is breaking the law and gutting the constitution and no one (either characters or author) seemed concerned at all. It was briefly dealt with at the end, but by that time I had already sworn never to read another book by this woman in my life.
charming book

ANY ONE OF US THAT GOES ON LINE WILL LOVE THIS ONE. YOU MEET SOME OF THE NICEST PEOPLE AND POSSIBLE FUTURE FRIEND.
This book deserves some stars. If you are a computer nut like I am and love suspense and romance. This is the book for you. Once you meet Avery and Dixon you will not want to put the book down.
See what can happen or blossom online.
Repeat villain...should be a few more in this series. Double story line, interesting.
