Not just the story of one pilot, but of many who fought the Axis in World War II. The death rate for pilots, even good ones, was high and depended on many factors. Many pilots were killed in training, as training was a long process and many of those not suited for flying precision aircraft died.

Once in a combat statues, combat and accidents took many more. Even top pilots with great skill died when luck went against them.

But you gain new appreciation for the defense of Malta, and its 'foreign' servicemen and the 250,000 residents who fought and lived on the most bombed real estate of World War II.
