I read the Little Britches series to the family in the 1980's as we traveled. The true stories of a family finding the strength and creativity to survive in the wilds of Colorado in the early 1900's. Each book in the series is self-contained (gives enough background detail) but we read each book in order.
I am writing this review in April 2020. The morals, ethics, hope and sheer grit (and love) of this series can be a compass for families of any time.
