first published in 1955 this book is old enough to be a classic. I wonder if this book is read in college courses. might be literature or maybe sociology. |

I haven't read The Corrections by J Franzen but it seems to be mentioned in connection with The Man in the Gray Flannel Suit. I guess they cover some of the same ground. The new edition of TMITGFS has an introduction by Franzen. |

if you look carefully you can find the movie on youtube. If you haven't read the book you won't be able to tell if the movie follows the book or not. But the movie is pretty good. Lots of stars in the movie. Gregory Peck and Jennifer Jones. Fredrick March. Lee J Cobb. |
