The Man Who Folded Himself Author:David Gerrold This classic work of science fiction is widely considered to be the ultimate time-travel novel. He can foil terrorists, prevent assassinations, or just make some fast money at the racetrack. And if he doesn't like the results o... more »f the change, he can simply go back in time and talk himself out of making it! But Dan soon finds that there are limits to his powers and forces beyond his control.« less
A "classic" in the time-travel genre for a reason. Perhaps not the absolute best one, but pretty darned close and handled the time-travel paradoxes wonderfully.
Though it did get a little heavy on the sex stuff, nothing that graphic, but probably not appropriate for under-12 crowd (under-14? depends on the kid (and the parents ;) ))
If you've not read this and like time travel, you MUST read it.
This book was an interesting take on time travel and identity. While I liked the main character, I wish the book had been longer and more detail given to Dan's adventures in different time periods.
