I liked this book - it's short (less than 225 pages) but solid. I enjoyed reading about the characters, even though I didn't really care for the main character too much (selfish.) This was Bret Lott's first published novel - most people probably remember him for Jewel, another great book with much more acclaim, but it was fun to read this and see how he has progressed as a writer.
Interesting flight of fancy.
One of Bret Lott's better books. Great writer.
