Two stories about Boba Fett, which are tied together over time. One, taking place around "New Hope" deals with Fett taking down the Bounty Hunter's Guild. The second takes place during "Return of the Jedi" and deals with the aftermath of Fett surviving the Sarlacc.

Overall, I liked this book. Bounty hunters, assassins, guns, bombs, skullduggery. All there in spades. The only thing that concerns me a little is just how canon this trilogy will be, considering how much Karen Traviss has written about the Fetts and the Mandalorians. It will be interesting to see how the 2 stories are tied together though, because in this book they aren't. Enough is made of the first storyline in the second storyline that you know it IS connected, but we don't know how yet.

He's the most feared and successful bounty hunter in the galaxy. He is Boba Fett, and even the most hardened criminals tremble at his name. Now he faces the deadliest challenge of his infamous career--an all-out war against his most dangerous enemies.

As the Rebellion gathers force, Prince Xizor proposes a cunning plan to the Emperor and Darth Vader: smash the power of the Bounty Hunters Guild by turning its members against each other. Only the strongest and most ruthless will survive, and they can be used against the Rebellion. It's a job for the fiercely independent Boba Fett, who jumps at the chance to destroy his rivals. But Fett soon realizes the game is rigged, as he finds himself the target of murderous factions, criminal conspiracies, and the evil at the Empire's dark heart. Boba Fett has always finished first. And in this game, anything less is death

The infamous Boba Fett waging war against his deadliest enemies, the Emperor and Darth Vadar.

Terrible book and trilogy. Boba Fett's character is nothing like in any of the other canon novels. The book consists of 2-3 pages of action to advance the story followed by up to 13 pages of dialogue or internal thought by one of the characters. Repeat.
