Brilliant idea for a "pseudo" text book! Using a manga-style comic with a story to explain the basics of statistics... genius. Actually, it seems rather obvious. Wonder why it hasn't been done before?
This book provides an excellent primer on statistics -- not just how to use the formulas, but what they can be used for (something many math books lack).
My only beef with it is that the story is a bit lame. Still, it's a fun way to actually learn and understand statistics. (BTW, the last section covers how to do the calculations in a spreadsheet application like Excel.)
