I loved this book! So far for 2006, I would have to say this series is the best in the mystery category. Sweeney's character is so low-key and intelligent, and I like how they don't portray her as too girly or too butch. I really like how the series is building a great, solid background on the regular characters. I was entertained throughout the entire book and the mystery itself was fantastic. The subject matter of this series is interesting to begin with, and I am eagerly looking forward to reading the next book.
Excellent book. I particularly enjoy mourning jewelry which this book featured as an integral part of the plot.
