OK, so it's 1866 and Mark Twain has wrangled a boondoggle of a trip out of his newspaper in San Francisco, to Hawaii. He travels light, packing only his skill at wry observations on the condition of man, and some side-splitting funny narrative. I fully enjoyed this book while on the beach at Waikiki, and atop Mt. Kilauea. I hope you do, too!
