Some of the scenes and dialogue don't quite ring true, but especially when the action starts it pulls you along. I plan to read the next in the series.

Elizabeth Moon is an author who gives you a good story and keeps the excitement up. THis whole series is well thought out. I like it and my son, 15 when he read it liked it too. It has a smart, strategically strong thinking female hero and a cast of interesting characters.

This is a wonderful Space Soap Opera with 5 books, and a strong female lead. I enjoyed the first book the best, and went with Kindle for the immediate gratification of reading the next 4 books.
