This book was okay. I liked the story and the writing, etc., but I think it felt like it was something that the author tried to cram into as few pages as possible and so there wasn't much time to really develop the relationships enough to make it believeable. You just kind of keep going along with it because you want to see how it turns out. It was a good story, but I think it could have been better with a little more details, even if they were secondary.

I was surprised that I liked this book as much as I did. It was the first Jennifer Probst book that I had read. The premise was one that had been used before (marriage of convenience between two people that were from different worlds and with different values), but it worked. The story moved rapidly and logically, they came to admire traits in each other that was missing in their own lives. There were funny, laugh out loud places, there were touching places, and the sexual tension was fought and then given into. I recommend it for a good rainy day read. I look forward to reading the sequel to this book to see what happens to Maggie (Nick's sister and Alexa's best friend) and the Italian count, Michael.

First time reading this author. Very easy read. Really held my attention and had to finish in one night which is not usual for me

I really liked Alexa and her strength and kindness. Nick was the perfect wounded hero as well. This was an enjoyable, easy read.
