In an seaside Indian city where Hindus, Muslims, and Christians coexist peacefully, a retired Muslim man decides to start a business out of his home, helping families to find marriage matches. As business picks up, he ends up hiring a poor, but educated, young Hindi woman as his assistant. Zama does a great job of explaining various aspects of Indian culture, while weaving it all together in an entertaining story with believable and sympathetic characters. It's not great literature, but it is a fun, interesting story, good for some light reading.
