I couldn't even get halfway through this book. The premise took a left turn with the heroine & 4 other women making a choice only an idiot would make. Everything that follows requires that the reader overlook that piece of idiocy. That was the end of my suspension of disbelief.
This was one of the first books I read by this author. I enjoyed the plot, and the characters were OK, but there was something odd to me about the dialogue -- it seemed stilted and awkward. It kept distracting me from the story, even though I really wanted to know how the story came out in the end.

I really enjoyed this book and so did my husband! I haven't read a lot of Ms. Michael's books, so I was pleasantly surprised to find a "new" author to explore.

This is not an author that I often read. I enjoyed the story though never understood how it really related to the title.
If you like heroines who can kick butt, but still fall in love, then this is the story for you!

First of her books I've ever read. Loved it! Full of adventure & love! What a mix! Couldn't put it down!
I love Fern Michaels' books however, this was the absolute worst book of hers. I really didn't know if it was a romance, a revenge or a personal triumph story. To me, the book had all but not really any of them. In the end, I thought "huh?"
I will definitely read reviews on her next book before I order it.

The book started out rather slowly. After about 50 pages, I was ready to give up. But then it started to pick up. It moved more quickly, became more interesting, and I was hooked!
It's a story about Sam, who has a three-week whirlwind courtship, then a three-week honeymoon, and is the served with divorce papers. After doing some checking, she finds that she's not the only ex. There's almost a dozen more!!
Some of them band together, the join a vigilante training-ops camp to learn how to become assets of their country. The only problem is that Sam falls in love with the training organizer, a handsome Greek ex-CIA operative, and his wolf-dog, Alpha.
When the training is completed, the ex-wives form a friendship alliance and decide to go after their ex-husband (when they learn he's a billionaire) in hopes of getting a nice settlement for the trouble he caused each of them.
If you can get past the first 50 pages, you'll find it an enjoyable and worthwhile read.

This book is great. It is a women kick rear type of thing with romance.
I did not care for this one. I usually LOVE Fern Michaels books, but this was ok.
Packed with intrigued, mystery, and twists throughout the story to keep you guessing at what will happen. Very entertaining listen. I enjoyed it.
If you like Fern Michaels' "Sisterhood" series you'll like this book. It bears some similarity to the "Sisterhood" series in that the main character Samantha (Sam) Rainford and her friends enroll in boot camp on top of Pine Mountain. This time, the mountain is run by Kollar "Pappy" Havapopulas. Sam and all the members of her team complete the rigorous training only to have Sam "wash out". The team sticks together, though, and goes on to find Sam's and the other "Rainford wives'" ex-husband to seek justice for what he did to them. This doesn't give Sam the satisfaction she had originally hoped for and she returns to Pine Mountain to tie up loose ends with Pappy. There's more to the story but I don't want to give it all away so you've have to read it to find out the rest.
Ireally liked this book. I helt my attention & I could't put it down. Very different
This book is great ! It makes you feel like women can do anything. Fern Michaels is very much the writer for the female generation. If you want to read a good "kick butt" story, this one is for you.
At first I wasn't bowled over by this book. It starts out too much like the Sisterhood series; women working together to right an injustice. But the more I got into it, the more I like it as it becomes more of a love story rather than a tale of revenge.
Not worth the time!
Great reading
When Samantha Rainford - newly wed to Douglas Rainford III - returns from her honeymoon to find divorce papers, she's shocked and heartbroken. Discovering that she's actually the fourth Mrs Rainford, she puts into practice the old truism: Don't get mad, get even. Sam enlists the three other Mrs Rainfords to do whatever it takes to bring down their ex-husband.
At a top-secret special-ops training program, these determined women neet ex-CIA operative Kollar Havapopulas. Handsome as a Greek God, "Pappy" is the best at transforming civilians into highly skilled fighting teams. He's less adept at telling a woman how he feels, and before long he's developed very warm feelings for Samantha Rainford--an attraction seemingly fated to be a disater. Two personalities as strong as Sam and Pappy are sure to strike sparks, but will the fire burning between them consume everything in its way?

Good Book..
I enjoy almost every romance novel I read whether it is a Harlequin or Nora Robert's latest, a contemporary, paranormal, suspense, or historical. I've never read this author before and I hated this book! There is a big group of women bent on revenge but you can't really tell them apart as characters except for the lead and her best friend. Also, they are mean! I don't think divorce justifies torture against innocent men. You know it's a problem in a story when you like the hero's dog better than the hero. Other than the fact that his dad was a great cook, I don't see what was appealing about him. I didn't think this book was funny, suspenseful or sexy.
LOVED IT!
Good action & romance
Good action & romance
great book, I really enjoyed it. It was a fast read. But all of Fern Michaels books are great, haven't read a one I haven't liked. Fun 7 fast.
The story line is very unique... There is alot of action and physical training, etc. There is an underlying mystery that reaches an exciting peak near the end, and also a sweet romance. Nice story.
Excellent Book!!
A real yawn.
A woman is sent divorce papers upon returnung from her homeymoon. She soon discovers her husband has many secrects that will turn his life upside down.
THe Marriage Game is another good read from Fern Michaels. Enjoyed some of the tie-ins to the Sisterhood Series (or I should say vice versa).
