Although Garey was a little bit long winded, and I grew weary of the twin and her goody-two-shoes personality, the book was as good as, if not better than the first one. I will keep reading the series.

I like this series. Nikki is able to see ghosts & help them move on to the Light. She has a hot boyfriend who is getting divorced from her twin sister (she never knew she had one until she met the boyfriend) & runs a shop with her best bud Evan. The books are a fun read. I read this in one day. I am definitely reading the next in the series.

I stuck with it to see if the series strengthened after the first installment. I just could not care about or get interested in these characters. The narrative was flat. But everyone else seems to love this series, I just couldn't make myself.

This series is addictive and hard to put down. Nicki is such a unique character with a strong sassy twist. She is a bit self effacing and dark humored.

I had a little trouble with this book Nicki's egocentric view of the world, her lack of care for those around her including her newly-discovered twin sister, or her apparent disregard of people's feelings at difficult times.

The action (not that there is much) in this story shifts from Little Five Points in Georgia to Savannah. The premise of the book shows some originality but there isn't enough plot or characterisation to hold the attention of this reader and I found myself overall disappointed.

I have picked up the 3rd & 4th book in the series. I will hope that the next two books are alot better.

This is another good one about Nicki, read the first one to have an understanding of what is going on.
The first is Dead girls are Easy.
Nicki has found out since she has passed over, that she can see the dead.
She was brought back to life and gave a set of instructions: do unto others.
So she tries.. she has found out she has a twin sister, not only a twin, but her boyfriends former wife...her name is Kelli
When she is visited by a spirit in her shop, the spirit takes her to a automobile wreak.
In the wreak is a dead woman and a serverly injured young woman, that looks like a toned down version of Nicki.
It is the twin, and Nicki finds out that the dead woman was her birth mother, Peaches.
They are coming to find Nicki to bring her to Savannah, GA to learn about the gift.
Nicki and her sister go to Savannah and take Joe with them, at the blue delihlia they find a grouchy house keeper and a eccentric old man, but not the grandmother they were expecting..
they have creepy encounters with ghosts, malvolent spirits and a hunky guy named Sammy wanting to seduce Nicki away from Joe.
Sammy turns out he is more that what he appears and Nicki must make some fast choices or hurt her new found family and boyfriend with those choices.

This was better than the first book but still nothing super great. It was fun to read, but as you read this book you can pretty much wright it yourself. But her best friend Evan and his boyfriend Butch make the book!

The characters are kooky and lovable. The romance is perfect. Nicki's grandma is a hoot, but her twin drives me to distraction. Enough already!

Fun read. As one of the reviewers said "I never tnought I'd have so much fun with the dead!"

A brush with death and a brief trip to the hereafter left vintage clothing store owners Nicki Styx an unwilling ghoulfriend to the dead. She can see and hear spirits and boy, do they want to be heard! Luckily her new boyfriend, sexy doc Joe Bascombe, is there to help, especially when Nicki faces her latest ghost, a woman in pink sequins who holds the key to some family secrets. Unfortunately for Nicki, it turns out that there are more skeeltons in the family closet than she thought, including a twin sister and a mysterious house full of spirits and surprises. Things for from bad to worse when the devil himself shows up, determined to lure Nicki from Joe's side. Will she give in to temptation and sell her soul for one incredible night? Demons may be a ghoul's best friend, but with this particular hottie, it could be a match made in hell!
