What a pleasant surprise this book was! I did not expect much knowing that this author is not a professional writer...but I take that thought back because this book is such an intelligent, thoughtful and sympathetic sequel to Pride and Prejudice...one of the best P&P sequels that I have read! A wonderful character study of Mary Bennet, who I always found the most uninteresting of the P&P characters. Uninteresting no more! This is a real hidden gem for P&P fans.
