I love this series. This one starts a little slower than others and the story and mystery kind of just enfolds. But I found that the end came too quickly and easily (Bad guys telling you their plans to take over the world, etc...). It would have been nice if Ashley actually took the time to give a good thorough resolutions to the unromantic/lusty aspects of the book. Also the shifters aren't as bloodthirsty as they make them out to be. There were definitely some killing that needed to be done.
Regardsless I enjoyed the story and the shifter world Ashley created. I also liked that some characters are a little more complex and it's not just a good vs. evil kind of book.

This is a wonderful series and it was about time Eric got his story. I felt it was very satisfying and Iona is a fitting compliment to his needed sternness and tight control. The abomination of the scientific community brutalizing and basically raping the Shifters, their Mates and their cubs reminds me of humanities inability to accept something or someone different, or not seeing the world in our same rigid way. I wish all people treated their children and extended families in such loving ways.
