Honestly, I was appalled by this book. I received it a few years ago when my daughter was 1.
Max wants ice cream for breakfast. But Ruby won't let him have any saying nobody eats ice cream for breakfast. So what does Max do? He gets in his car and drives away to Grandma's who gives him the ice cream.
I know now that Max and Ruby are very popular with children but I only read this to my daughter once and would never read it again. Just a bad message to teach your kids, in my opinion.
