Could not get in to this story - maybe just not meant for me but others may like>

I didn't care for this book in printed form but absolutely loved the audio version. There is something about the prose and storyline that gets lost on paper. I think it's that in reading, we're apt to scan sentences too quickly and miss the language, which is what Annie Dillard is all about. Brilliant. Loved it.
About halfway through this book, i regretted paying full price and then....when I finished, I read it again with better attention and appreciation.
