My daughter loves the American Girl series! Just a note that depending on the edition, the cover may or may not be the same as in the photo. Ex. mine is the first edition and has a different cover. The newer versions have the cover that is pictured.

A great read for the family - daughter, niece, granddaughter or even goddaughter. You will truly enjoy this one. Although, mine does have a slightly different cover art and don't know if that would affect the artwork inside the book? Guess the story is all that matters and that has remained the same for AGES! A great read - or collect it for the set! You'll also love the "Looking Back" section that gives you a quick glimpse into life during that time period.

This book is paperback but the picture on the cover is like 0808579908. Great gift or for collectors. Book one of six in this series. Samantha Parkington is an orphan who lives with her rich grandmother in 1904. There are many servants in GrandMary's household but no one for Samantha who is 9 years old to play with. That is why she is so excited when Nellie, a servant girl her age, moves in next door. Although their lives are different, the two girls become good friends. One day Samantha discovers that Jessie, the seamstress is leaving. No one will tell her why. So she and Nellie plan a secret midnight adventure to find out.
The America Girl Books are great historical book for adults or children. I have read almost every single one of them and I love them.

Educational book about a rich girl in NY during the early 1900s "robber baron" era. Book in virtually perfect condition.
