I enjoyed every minute of this wonderfully read story. The reader's voice was authentic and soothing. The journey Lela took during the holiday season lead her from sorrow and bitterness to a perfect ending she could never have envisioned had she not been reading the bible and opening her heart to its message. This is a contemporary Christmas classic not to be missed.

This was my first T.D. Jakes book and it was a nice story. The characters were well-developed, easy to remember who was who, and realistic. CCH Pounder as the narrator was perfection. As a quilter, I loved the theme of the quilt and the scripture provided with the story of its making. I look forward to listening to more of Jakes books in the future.
