This book is OK. The characters are a little cliche, and the plot is shallow. However it has some info on the customs of Merry Old England, at the time of Henry IV and V, like how a man was knighted. It is classified as historical fiction, but it is primarily fiction. It's not historical fiction like, say, a G. A. Henty. It's along the lines of Ivanhoe, only shorter, less developed, and cleaner for young people. Not bad overall, just not excellent.

Nice children's book! I used for a homeschool unit lesson about knights. Easier book that a elementary to about 6th grade could use.
