I've never read any books by this author. I was pleasantly surprised to find that I really enjoyed this book. Kind of romantically sappy in some places. I still enjoyed this book and can't wait for the next book in the series to come out.

This the first book I read of this author. I would like to read more. It is set in 1850,s England. It draws on what is happening during the time period. Using acutal histroical fiqures. A murder mystery with a christian slant to it. The herorines brother is accused of murder. It is a slam dunk case. She must use the help of an actor to help. He is also a christian. She and her family dont belive in God. It fun to watch the charcters come around. I recommed this book.

I love historical mysteries and this was a good one. I enjoyed the differences between the two main characters, Lady Serafina and Dylan. She had a scientific mindset and he had a creative one. It made for some interesting interaction between them, particularly when it came to Dylan's faith. I did figure out who the killer was, but it was almost at the same time that they did.
