I bought this just for the Virgin River story because I am a VR addict. It was cute, way to clean, and not really worth my time.

I picked up this book because I wanted to read the next Virgin River story called Midnight Confessions. It's been a year since Sunny Archer was left standing at the altar. Now she is visiting her uncle in Virgin River, and just wants to be left alone. But her uncle talks her into visiting Jack's Bar for a New Years Eve Party and she meets drew Foley, a guy who has a lot in common with Sunny.
I really didn't care for this addition to the Virgin River series. Most of the conversation between the hero and heroine was talking about being dumped by their respective fiancees. I really liked both characters and just wish there could have been more to the story. My rating: 3 Stars.

Way too schmaltzy for me, not one of my favorite
Robyn Carr stories, was disappointed. Didn't care for the other 2 stories either.

This book should be named "Taming of the Shrewd." I have no idea why they thought it would be a good idea to write about stereotypical successful ladies that were such b*tches. It's actually insulting. I only got through Carr's story, half of Brashear's, and a little bit of Dahl's. Not fair to Dahl but by that time I was sick of reading about women who were mean and rude without cause.
At least with Carr's story, I can see why Sunny was so prickly. Her story wasn't that bad but it wasn't her best work. It helped that Sunny apologized early on for her behavior and had to learn to take responsibility of her action. Drew was too sweet though. I really have no idea why he would bother to pursue Sunny after she was so rude.
Brashear's story was painful to read. First of all, Will just wants to knock Jordan down her high horse in the guise of helping her soften up. Whatever, that man needs to get over himself. So for him, she was nothing but a challenge. Jordan was so self-centered and rude that I wonder why anyone would want to be near her. I was more interested in their friends' relationships: Marty and David.
Not worth the time. It's hard to want these characters to have a happily ever after when it doesn't seem like they are even decent human beings.
