One of my favorite Elizabeth Lowell books. The details and descriptions she uses with the setting and characters really up you right into the story quickly. Great story line that makes magic happen.
I'm not sure why I keep reading Lowell books. They frequently leave me wanting more, and not in a good way. More natural dialogue would be a good start. The Donovans are tremendously appealing characters, and I'd like to read really good books about them. I'll put this one a notch above Jade Island, just on the merits that Owen Walker is a good ol' southern boy (sort of). :-)

Preferred the other Donovan novels to this one. I never find Lowell's mysteries to be very mysterious. She does better when she concentrates on romance, which she doesn't do much of here.
This is a great romance that will have you laughing as you read. This entire Donovan family series is really well written, leaving you egar to read the next one.
