Excellent read and a direct sequel to Hotter After Midnight. Like its predecessor, it's a paranormal page turner with an action plot. In Hotter, the police captain and the hero tried to keep the hero's human partner in the dark about the supernatural elements. It doesn't really work. In Midnight Sins, Todd Brooks comes face-to-face with the supernatural when the very lovely, very desirable Cara Maloan becomes a suspect in a serial murder case only to learn she is a succubus who has sworn off sex - at least until she meets Todd. Todd can't leave her alone and it soon becomes clear that someone is trying to frame her for the murders.

Todd's efforts at resolving his newly widened world view [his partner is a werewolf, his girlfriend is a succubus, and the victims all seemed to have been killed by a sex demon] add interest to the story line. He may be only human but he is NOT giving up on his partner, NOT giving up on the case, and definitely NOT giving up on his girlfriend.

The murderer is not obvious, the characters are well written, the plot is suspenseful, and the dialogue contains a lot of humor. What more can you asK

Order is very important...

Great sequel for Hotter After Midnight. What I love about this book is that the two main characters actually talk things out. It's very refreshing. We get a sneak peak of the characters for the third book as well.

This book didn't keep me guessing as much as the last one but it was still a nice, quick read.
