The Midwife's Legacy gave me a peek into a profession I don't know much about, through four different time periods. I like that the final story is set in current times. The back cover copy doesn't make clear that these midwives are all from the same family, as the journal is passed down through the generations of midwives, but I really liked that thread of the stories. All 4 stories weave elements together, but each individual story is unique to it's author, something that Barbour's Romancing America 4-in-1 books have always done very well. The whole book has great pacing, and fun characters. If you enjoy historical C/F with a blend of medicine, I highly recommend you read this book.
