Kathleen and Roma offer to help Rebecca find a dress after the library benefit to support Reading Buddies. Kathleen and Marcus have finally settled into a good relationship. Yay! He doesn't even get upset when Kathleen gets drawn into the investigation of Dayna Chapman's death at the benefit. Dayna has been gone from Mayville Heights for over twenty years when she walked away from her marriage to Burtis and her children. Questions and theories begin to fly around the families involved.
I love this series! Owen and Hercules are my favorite kitties in the cozy world. I am fascinated by their magical powers and yet they still behave as normal cats. I am so happy to see Kathleen and Marcus together. They have been dancing around a relationship since the first book. It is always a pleasure to reunite with the townspeople and Kathleen's friends. I highly recommend this series to anyone looking for a little magic in their lives.
