The heroine, Kate, runs hot and cold without apparent rhyme or reason--she loves him, but she's not going to have anything to do with him, them immediately contradicts herself; and so it goes. This detracted from an appealing story of a family not reunited but united for the first time.

Moving home to the country offered Kate the chance to make a comfortable, secure life for herself. But there was a complication - her ex-fiancee, millionaire Jack Logan. He was still gorgeous and the attraction between them electric.
